Offering 9 : Nine – A POEM A DAY FOR NOVEMBER 2010

by on November 9, 2010

9:09 pm on 9th November

Nine

Details of a primary year in this girlchild’s life

That I can now hardly remember

Nineteen

A first son born at 9.25pm in the city of gold, named after sunlight and rain

Intiates this firstborn and only daughter into motherhood ‘before her time’

Nine

Gestational completion, life cycles of change

Opening of the way to new dimensions, of being

Nineteen

Closing the chapters of childhood, releasing the turbulance of adolescence

Rounding off his second decade, my son, once upon a time boy is unmistakeably a man

Nine

A continuous and ever-expanding web of connection entwining many lives with mine

Mythology and human mystery continuously revealing itself, nine after nine, after nine.
