Offering 10 : Dream Train – A POEM A DAY FOR NOVEMBER 2010

by on November 10, 2010

10th November

I am on a train that needs no tracks

A fresh stream of images flashing

In each luminous window frame

Slowly I float from coach to coach

Each blink is a covering of distance

My movement is lyrical second layer

To the percussion of this trains rhthym

I do not know where I am going

I know I am alone on this journey

I have no sense of time, only presence

It does not matter if I’m early or late

The now is midnight blue outside

Gravity-free radiance on the inside

I am home right here, for this moment

No desire to rush or wait

Calm yet curious in my suspension

Intrigued by unseen destinations

A wind whistles through this magical silver snake

It blows right through me and abruptly, I’m awake.
